Rebuilding Together: Revitalizing San Francisco neighborhoods.
Saturday, April 19th Prep Days, 8:00 am-4:00 pm
Annual Rebuilding Weekend program in SF (last weekend in April), 8 project sites (4 homes and 4 facilities)
Needed: community-minded, dedicated volunteers for Prep Days.
Rebuilding Together San Francisco has been repairing and renovating
homes of low-income residents and nonprofit, community organizations
for 19 years through our Rebuilding Weekend program, which takes place
on the last weekend of April. This year we will be serving 18
homeowners, 17 facilities, and engaging over 1,800 volunteers, directly
improving the lives of our clients and/or the communities they serve.
As Rebuilding Weekend is rapidly approaching, and so is our need
for dedicated, hard-working, and community-minded volunteers! We have a
number of community organizations and homes in San Francisco that will
be in need of a prep day (April 19th) to get a jumpstart on the work,
leading up to our annual Rebuilding Weekend – which is where your help
can make all the difference! A typical volunteer Prep Day starts at
8:00 am and finishes at 4:00 pm, age minimum is 14 years old with adult
supervision, and includes tasks such as priming, painting, clearing out
garages, living spaces, yard work, moving furniture, etc. so volunteers
should wear something they can get dirty in!
Below are some projects that are currently still in need of
volunteers – if interested, please contact me with your first 3
preferences (1st choice, 2nd choice, 3rd choice) or any further
questions you may have!
