Development Team Update:

We are incredibly excited to announce that the Environmental Nonprofit Network, a project of Craigslist Foundation (www.craigslistfoundation.org) has merged into UAS!. Both groups had the same objective: uniting the Bay Area sustainability movement and encouraging collaboration through education, networking and advocacy. In the interests of better serving the community and in the spirit of collaboration, we decided to join forces. This merger means hundreds of additional organizations in the UAS network and highly respected, capable advisers and functional team members.

In honor of this special occasion and the upcoming holidays, we will be hosting a grand affair at 111 Minna Gallery (near 2nd & Mission Streets in SF) from 6-10pm on Tuesday, 12/12. See the UAS Events section for full details.

In preparation for 2007, the Development Team will focus on two goals - capacity building and rolling out our pioneering membership program! Please contact dev@uas.coop if you feel intrigued, curious or excited about what's in store for UAS in 2007.

Events Team Update:

The Events Team has its metaphorical hands full. Organize Organize Organize -- that's what we are doing. The holiday party is set in motion for Tuesday December 12th. As of January we will be hosting our Green Movie Night at the Little Roxie on the second Thursday of the month. If all goes well we will also host a fundraiser in February and tree planting in April. We look forward to seeing you all in the coming year. Thank you on behalf of the events team.

Communications Team Update:

The Communications Team is proud to announce the near-launch of our new website at www.uas.coop. Timed to coincide with our holiday party, www.uas.coop will be live on Tuesday, December 12th and will feature all of the latest news about the Urban Alliance. In addition, all of the great content we've been spewing in these digital pages over the past year will be available in an easy-to-use online format. And that's just the beginning -- the next few months will witness even more inspiring stories from the sustainability front cultivated and created by our community! Here's to an exciting and community-driven 2007!
