Our Commitment To Privacy:
Your privacy is important to us. To better protect your privacy we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used. To make this notice easy to find, we make it available on our homepage and at every point where personally identifiable information may be requested.
The Information We Collect and How We Use It:
This notice applies to all information collected or submitted on the Urban Alliance for Sustainability (UAS) website.
In various places on our website, we may gather email addresses and other basic contact information (such as address, phone number, interests and skills) for the purpose of allowing people to subscribe to UAS publications, RSVP for events, create site content, leave comments, volunteer with UAS or become a member. We may also gather contact information from individuals who choose to donate to us via our website in order to process their donations, acknowledge them in a timely manner, and keep donors informed about the impact of our work.
We may use the zip code of registered members to most effectively implement membership services – like coordinate pot lucks. Again, your address information will not be shared with others without direct permission from you.
Our website may set “cookies” for the purpose of collecting aggregate statistics about the total number of visitors to our website. We do not store any personally identifiable information in cookies.
We use return email addresses to answer the email we receive. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties.
Like most website operators, our web servers create log files. These track data on Internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, and number of clicks to enable us to administer the site, analyze trends, track user movement in the aggregate, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. Server log files do not contain personally identifiable information.
Finally, we never use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described above without also providing you an opportunity to opt-out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses.
Our Commitment To Data Security:
To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
How To Access/Correct Your Information or Contact Us:
You can opt out of receiving communications from us. You may request access to personally identifiable information we collect about you through our electronic communications and you may request corrections to that information. For any of these requests or for more information about our privacy policies and practices, please contact us here or at 415.820.1456.
